Last year I started sending a weekly email to our Adult Bible Fellowship group, sharing some observations of daily events and looking for an application for our growth.
In January of this year my sons convinced me to move those thoughts to a webpage platform and treat it more as a blog: www.edrocha1961.com was born.
I have received very good feed back regarding how people have been impacted by some of those stories.
But I also have to confess that it became something I was proud about, and I started looking forward to the reaction I would obtain. Suddenly it was more about me than the readers or the Lord who should be honored with my words.
Liz was the one who called my attention to that behavior, so I stopped and prayed that God would allow this tool to be an instrument for His glory, or not let me do it at all.
Since then I have focused on honoring the Lord with my words, while hopefully having an impact on people’s lives.
This week the blog has reached 500 views (that’s the reason for this blog’s title), thanks to our class and Liz’ facebook friends that come to visit.
That is a small number in comparison to the millions of views that some websites get, but it makes me feel the responsibility of what message I am placing in those hearts.
The other interesting thing is that I have had visitors from 16 different countries, some of which are places where I don’t know anyone. That means somehow people are “bumping” into my webpage and reading my words.
If you are one of those, and you haven’t seen the previous posts, please click on the “latest posts” list on the right side of the page and you will be able to see more.
So, thank for visiting this blog, and keep an eye for more little stories.
