A couple of years ago I had to go to South Korea for some difficult meetings with our customer Hyundai.
We had sent a few defective parts and they demanded my visit to explain what we were going to do about it, and above all, to personally apologize for the disruption.
Knowing that they typically played hard ball with suppliers, I had prepared a very elaborate presentation about the problem and our actions.
As we were driving towards the plant, I was tensely reviewing one more time the presentation on my laptop, and was moving some files around to clean up the memory stick I was going to use.
When I thought I had removed every other file and left only the presentation, I noticed one file was still there. I clicked on it and opened what I had prepared for one of our classes at church.
It contained the following passages:
I Peter 5:7: “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you”
Philippians 4: 6-7: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Psalms 55:22: “Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you”
That gave me peace and assurance that our mighty God, who created the whole Universe, also pays attention to my little anxiety, and takes care of me.
Awesome!
